Hitman's Heatmaker is my favorite weapon but I'd say the Vaccinator is pretty damn good. If you have the skills to use it of course.
H.Heatmaker is also a pretty good weapon of choice for the sniper on MvM.

I'd honestly have to go with the cow mangler. Sure, it doesn't have random crits, but the fact it doesn't require AMMO makes it dangerous if the soldier in question welding it actually knows how to use it. Or, probably the Force of Nature, because it knocks you the hell back, and it hurts.

well see, another factor is that this is comp, not community/causal (which has le epic random crits)
though, ive been able to apply quite a bit of pressure to enemies even without random crits, it just takes a lot of clever movement with the rocket jumper and the soldier's thicc slow body
