Charging honestly should be removed. Ever since people discovered various ways to trimp on certain maps, all they ever do on BLU is trimp. They never seem to help warden whatsoever, and usually end up getting the warden killed for not helping and/or becoming the last guard since they’re probably on the other side of the map, flying and strafing in the air. It is also quite ridiculous how in most purge rounds demoknights on BLU team can easily flee from a fight in the blink of an eye due to their charge, all the while catching up to a class that is usually faster than a demoman and delivering a one hit kill, if done successfully.

With the latest update allowing RED Demomen to charge upon rebelling, are there any new opinions people have regarding removing charging? Also, are there any new opinions regarding allowing RED Scouts to double jump by default?

i feel like scouts should have double jump, and idrc for the charging

Idk about you but I find rebelling as a demo on red FAR too easy now since they can charge... Personally, I think that it should be reverted back to how it was. Let blues charge and don't let reds charge. Blues are already outnumbered to begin with. And jailbreak was running smoothly when that was the case anyways.

Scouts should have double jump without having to rebel. It's one of the reasons u play scout to begin with because otherwise, the nerf is too hard. They already have low hp and low damage but unlike the spy, they don't have any one hit kill mechanics.

This thread seems pretty unorganized due to a lot of suggestions being thrown around. So, to hopefully clarify:

(OP) Suggestions by Bung to allow REDs to charge (at least on Purge) and to allow Heavies to gain whatever food item equipped upon spawn:
Heavy's should have their food item without getting a healthpack. Reds should be able to charge, at least on purge.
For the record, the second suggestion here has been partially approved, as RED Demomen can now charge upon rebel status.

Suggestion by OwO The Destroyer to remove charging altogether:
I think charge should just be all around removed for jb. it really just doesnt work that well with JB


Suggestion by Olaves to give back RED Scouts the ability to double jump without rebelling:
Yh and give double jump back to scouts on red! Double jump and his speed are the only reasons to play scout and we have to rebel to unlock his abilities fully???????


Suggestion by Brando Oats to give RED Demomen the ability to charge after collecting ammo as opposed to hitting a guard:
Bumping this with support to change Demoman gaining charge after collecting ammo, not after hitting a guard.
