Recommendations of microphones both for gaming and streaming.

Now I’ve used my headset mic for a couple years and it’s been fine but most times it’s not been doing good and hard to understand me, can someone recommend a good and affordable microphone. Thank you!

I use this guy. No matter how you slice it, a pretty nice microphone is gonna be $80-$100 typically.

Do you have a dead laptop with a mic? Rip it out! The mics in laptops are often very good and fit for gaming/streaming. It's also free!

I use the blue yeti, its more then enough. I do suggest getting a boom arm, as keyboard noise will be an issue if you don't have one.

Do you want just a mic, because I was going to suggest a Headset that works pretty well. Cloud 9 Alpha Headset. Really comfy and the mic works really well.

I use SteelSeries ArctisPro, but if you want a good headset mic Cloud9 is your best bet. Even with what Redd said it also has great sound quality for its price.

I'm actually interested in this thread, I have a HS50 and I found out the mic is actually really bad. so far, for voice overlays, I've been recording on my phone as that's the best quality mic I have as of right now. I dont' have much money to spend, and I already burned 80 bucks on this headset.

Definitely blue yeti, it's super clear especially on TF2 servers where the voices are compressed more :)
