So i recently ordered a Xbox one pc controller.

The question is... Is it plug and play or do i have to configure the settings myself?
If anyone knows, feedback would be appreciated

There are 3 ways to get an xbox controller to work for pc:
1) use a USB charging cable like so: Xbox controller
2) to use it wirelessly (with Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows) do the following:
  1. On your PC, go to Settings > Devices.
  1. Choose Add Bluetooth or other device.
  1. Select Everything else.
  1. Select Xbox Wireless Controller.
  1. Click Done.
3) using bluetooth: first of all make sure that your xbox controller supports bluetooth (On Bluetooth-supported controllers, the plastic around the Xbox button is part of the face of the controller. On controllers without Bluetooth, the plastic around the Xbox button is part of the top, where the bumpers are.) like so:Xbox useful
once you are sure of the fact that your controller supports bluetooth do the following:

Turn on your Xbox Wireless Controller by pressing the Xbox button. (the big one in the middle)
Press the controller Connect button for three seconds and release.
On your PC, select Start, then Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
4.Turn on Bluetooth so your PC can discover Bluetooth devices.
5. Select Xbox Wireless Controller > Pair.

Hope this was useful. SOURCE: (https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-on-windows/accessories/connect-xbox-one-controller-to-pc )
